For strengthening animal husbandry occupation and providing fodder security in drought prone regions of Kachchh are the major objectives of this programme. The key intervention for attaining fodder security are promotion of fodder crop cultivation (sorghum, corn, Napier grass and other fodder), promotion of fodder bank and capacity building of animal rearers. With financial support from ‘Mumbai Gaurakshak Trust (MGT), this programme is extended in villages of Mandvi, Bhuj, Nakhtrana, Abdasa & Lakhpat blocks of Kachchh district.
